How time flies!

Anybody got anything to slow down this growth thing? Besides the fact that I cannot afford to clothe these growing creatures, Daddy really isn't sure I like the idea of them getting so big so fast.

It isn't often you discover your grandfather's high school class picture. These guys look so much older than I felt when I was in high school! It probably has much to do with the way in which they lived their lives. It is also interesting to think that in just a few short years, some of these guys would ship off to Europe and never see South Alabama again.

A new year, a new look.

Well, for the first time in about seven years, the beard is gone. I guess I figured since I just turned 34, I needed all the help I could get in maintaining a younger appearance. I am also going to be interviewing some over this next year and thought I would put the clean-cut look out there.

Can it get any better?

On Tuesday night Susie and I went down town to a Card's game. The sky was clear and the temp in the low 80's. Perfect weather. Can it get any better? Well, we could have won. The game itself wasn't pretty (Card's lost big), but the downtown fireworks over the right field wall were amazing.

After a busy day of grilling out with friends, there is no better desert than a good, old-fashioned mud pie!
