3 yr. olds make life interesting

I was preheating the oven the other day when I decided to check on a strange smell coming from the oven. Jacob had stuck his crock in there and I found it before it caught on fire! However, it did melt and shrink some. He keeps me laughing all the time.

Lessons all around

“Hey Dad”
“What?”
“Oh, nothing. I just like saying that.”

The above interchange happened a few weeks ago after a meeting in which custody of 12 year old twin boys was officially transferred to friends of mine in St. Louis. They were driving down the road after this meeting when the interchange occurred between one of the boys and and the dad.

For some reason I can't seem to read those lines without crying.
