Conctruction progress part 2

The wall between the new mudroom / rear entry and Emi's new bedroom, before and after insulation. I itched for two days after instaling this stuff.
The kitchen with most of the new wiring and insulation done. In the left you see the new peninsula and bar. Cabinets and the range will be located on the back. We were able to salvage enough of the tongue and groove siding from the demo to finish out this short wall.

Construction Progress

Future range peninsula and countertop bar.
The door on the right is going away.
The iron bar in the left of the photo leaning up against the wall is from the pit. It weighed a ton and abused me for two straight days. It was, however, the only tool able to make it through the layers of plywood, linoleum, and then hardwood that were all hidden underneath the significantly raised tile on our kitchen floor. Too bad the original hardwoods were unsalvagable.

Here is a view into the kitchen from the dining area. Again, this wall is coming down to open this space up. The peninsula / bar will be on the left of this photo.

Three year olds make life interesting (part 2)

One minute you are sitting at your local pizza place having a nice Sunday lunch, the next minute you are picking your son up off the floor as he spits blood and pizza at you.
4 hours in the after hours clinic (I did mention this was on Sunday afternoon right?), and 3 stitches fixed everything right up. At this point I am kind of glad I only have one boy in the bunch. I don't know if I could stomach much more blood and pizza.

Emi is getting her first tooth at 6 mo. and Anna Grace loves to help feed her.

Halloween happenings

"Yes we can!" (Bob the Builder, not the politician.)

Tinkerbell and Hannah Montana, way too sassy!

And so the madness begins.

There's nothing quite like loosing a full third of your house for almost two months, especially with four kids age seven and under! At least I have some free labor.
